Computing Solutions was my first job in Chicago. It was a rare, Mac-only training company. We found each other when I took a vacation from my job in St. Louis. I fell in love with the city and decided to use the week to interview. Computing Solutions was located in the diamond-shaped Crain Communications building, with an incredible view of Lake Michigan. I was hired on the spot. My vacation turned into a relocation to Chicago.

I started teaching Photoshop at Computing Solutions. It was a good company to work for, but it was small. My boss handed me a copy of Photoshop and a user manual on Friday and gave me the weekend to learn it, because I was teaching a group of Chicago Sun Times photographers on Monday. That was crazy! But we needed the money, so I read the manual from cover to cover, came up with a syllabus, and seriously prayed my way through all three days of that class. I got stellar reviews (all perfect 10’s), and fell head over heels in love with Photoshop. It’s been my bread and butter ever since.
